Privacy Policy
HKeTravel ("the app") respects your privacy. The app is designed to do as much as possible on your own device: it needs no account and does not track you. Here is how it handles data.
1. Location data
The app reads your location when you use Nearby or Ask, in order to show the stops around you and plan routes.
- Your location is used only on your device and discarded after use;
- it is never uploaded to us or to any third-party server, never stored, and never linked to your identity;
- it is never used to track you or to serve advertising.
You can revoke the app's location permission at any time in iOS under Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
2. Feedback content
If you choose to send feedback using the Feedback feature, the text you write is sent to the developer through Apple iCloud (CloudKit) so that we can improve the app.
- The content is provided by you deliberately and contains only the text you write — not your Apple ID or identity;
- if you don't send feedback, nothing leaves your device;
- please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback (for example phone numbers, addresses or ID numbers).
3. Network requests
The app requests live arrival and route data from the Hong Kong Government's DATA.GOV.HK and from the transport operators' public APIs. These requests contain no information that identifies you.
4. Apple Intelligence (on-device AI)
The Ask feature uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to understand your query. That processing happens on your iPhone, and your query is never sent off the device.
5. What we don't do
- No account sign-in and no registration;
- no ads, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs;
- we do not sell or share your data.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change will be published on this page, and the effective date above will be updated.
